Make your signature background transparent
A transparent signature PNG keeps the handwriting while letting the page underneath show through. Ink Signature Studio prepares a separate signature image from a photo, scan, or selected area of a PDF.
How to remove the background
- Choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC image, or PDF up to 20 MB. You can upload before signing in.
- Use a close crop that includes every stroke and a small margin. For a PDF, select the page and draw a box around your signature.
- Review the censored preview estimate. If your photo includes a stamp, the signature and stamp appear separately.
- Unlock the upload for US$7.99. The final results are prepared after payment.
- Compare the result with your original, choose an ink color or tilt if needed, and download the transparent PNG.
Take a photo that keeps thin strokes visible
Use even light, keep the camera parallel to the page, and avoid flash reflections, folded paper, and strong shadows. Include the complete signature, including dots and long flourishes. A sharp original usually gives more useful detail than a screenshot of a screenshot.
Why save as PNG?
PNG supports transparency; JPEG does not. A viewer may display transparent areas on white or on a checkerboard. Place the downloaded PNG over a colored background to check that the paper has been removed.
What recovery can change
Faded or covered ink may need to be estimated. Recovered strokes can differ from the source, so compare loops, dots, joins, and flourishes before using the result. A transparent image is a reusable graphic; it does not verify who signed it.
